Inkscape sometimes gets into a weird state on my machine where clipboard operations go hayware. After copying elements to the clipboard, it starts spawning many windows: Postscript output windows. I also assumed that the results in the end would likely not be worth the efforts you'd have to make to be able to install a working version of UniConvertor 1.1.5 on your system (if the expectation is that with UniConvertor 1.1.5 installed, Inkscape 0.48.2 magically has 100% support for all features of CDR files produced by various CorelDraw.

A new item has been added to the FAQ: It has become necessary, because UniConvertor no longer comes with Inkscape for Windows (if you happen to be able to help with compiling it, then that would be great, too;-) ). So, I hope everyone is well and that you have a little time to help our friends on Windows who want to export/import to some file formats that only work via UniConvertor:) Kind RegardsMaren - Check out the vibrant tech community on one of the world's most engaging tech sites, Slashdot.org! Create great vector graphics with Inkscape, the open-source illustration software. In this Inkscape tutorial, Mike Rankin, a design professional for over 20 years, covers everything from installing the software to outputting files for print and the web.
Follow along to learn how to work with vector paths; draw shapes; add colors, patterns, and gradients to drawings; transform objects by scaling, rotating, and shearing; and creating special effects with Inkscape's nondestructive filters. In my case it's the 64 bit version of the most recently release of Inkscape. In the installer I'll click Next, accept the terms of the incensing and the choose a setup type. I have three choices.
Typical which is appropriate for most users. Custom where I can select which features are installed and Complete which installs all features.
I'm gonna select Typical and Install. The installer can take a while to work so don't worry if it seems like nothing's happening for a while.
And Finish to finish the installation. On my desktop there's a shortcut to launch Inkscape and I'll double click it to launch the program. And just be aware that it can take a little while for the program to launch the first time you use it so just be patient. And eventually Inkscape launches and I'm ready to start creating artwork. Practice while you learn with exercise files. Watch this course anytime, anywhere.
